Spring One Room Challenge Week 5- So Close but So Far!
It's Week Five of the One Room Challenge! I'm not sure where this last seek went, but I pretty sorry to say that instead of checking off the remainder of items on my One Room Challenge to-do list, I actually added a few things to the list! It's funny how the home stretch, as crazy as it is, sends your brain into overdrive thinking about what you can do to make your design better. Its also crazy how many things can go wrong at this stage of the game and require some really creative last minute problem solving. Here it what I have left to do:
Finish Painting- Like painting everything- I'm talking walls, art, and a table (that I recently decided needs to be a different color). I started the painting for over our antique cabinet behind the sectional, but it isn't close to being complete. This is the underpainting and the colors are much brighter than the finished product will be, but it is coming along! I'm painting it in the room so I get the colors right!
I hate to say it, but I still haven't finished the painting of all the walls. I need a taller ladder and it just hasn't happened. I also decided about a day ago that I needed to paint the side table I scored from Target. I am going with a coral color that works with the rug and our newly painted front door that opens into the room.
Make a table skirt- I still have to sew the table skirt for the other side table in the room, but the glass top has thankfully arrived. I might call in my mom so this one gets done!
Lots of other things- there are so many other little things still to do! This is the fun part, but it also is the part that will take the most time!
Needless to say, I am starting to stress out a little! The good news is there are some things in the room that have come together perfectly and I am super excited to show to you some sneak peaks!
Be sure to check back next Thursday for the final reveal and head over to the One Room Challenge site to see all the other participant rooms!
See you next time!
